Meguri

A powerfully eloquent performance entitled Meguri about the ever-changing beauty of nature, is Ushio Amagatsu’s way of celebrating the fortieth anniversary of his company Sankai Juku. On stage, eight male dances with shaven heads and whitewashed bodies are powerful, cathartic creatures in the midst of the natural elements – Earth, Water, Wind and Sand set against a magnificent backdrop, a bas-relief wall of Paleozoic marine fossils.
