Luna Cenere, associated artist of Oriente Occidente Festival during the two-year period 2019-2020, explores the theme of the body.

In 2019 the artist develops an artistic, choreographic and human experiment under the title of Origini (Origins), a laboratory which is a part of the two-year project in her choreographic research called Genealogia. The project involves local amateurs and non-professionals.

During the work the participants can get deeper into the concept of the body as a place, a landscape, a settled space and a limit. Through physical experiences in the framework of an empiric research, the work itself tests the limits we have while thinking of the body. This is made possible through a process of research which includes the discussion, the reading and the genesis of thinking, from where can arise a new creative process.
During the first months of the project's research the choreographic matrix was created, the first performative expression of this research that takes the title of: Zoé - Appunti sulla nuda vita a quintet of only professional dancers, presented in the form of work in progress at Oriente Occidente Dance Festival on 30th August 2019 and which will debut in 2020 under the title Genealogia_Corpus.

Luna Cenere has been selected for the 2019 by ResiDance XL: action of the Rete Anticorpi XL – Network Giovane Danza D’Autore, coordinated by L’aboreto – Teatro Dimora di Mondaino, of which also CID and Oriente Occidente Festival take part. The network supports the research of choreographs and dancers who want to live in the residences with the purpose to reflect and act on creative processes.
